Each year PAMIC hosts the annual Claims Summit, which draws over 200 attendees and over 30 exhibitors including law firms, restoration companies, and other related businesses. Topics include litigation updates and popular claims trends, making this Conference the most significant claims focused program in the mid-Atlantic region. Due to their unusual and often hidden attributes, the damage assessment on sinkhole claims can be daunting for the Claims Adjuster. This presentation focuses on how and why sinkholes form, typical stabilization methods utilized for sinkhole remediation and structure repair, and the importance of engaging a team of professional engineers and geologists to assist the Claims Adjuster in evaluating sinkhole claims.
